Fun Places to Walk

Pinellas Trail

The Pinellas Trail spans nearly 40 miles across Pinellas County, Florida. The Pinellas Trail passes through downtown Tarpon Springs, Crystal Beach (The Pack of Tampa Bay’s Headquarters), Palm Harbor, dog-friendly Dunedin, Clearwater, ends in Saint Petersburg.

Make sure to check out the dog-friendly restaurants and breweries along the way. Many of them have pet-friendly outdoor patios. Bring extra water for your furry friend and make sure to pick-up after your pet.


Key Vista Nature Park – 2700 Baillies Bluff Rd. Holiday, FL 34691

Open 7 days from dawn to dusk

This beautiful Nature Resource park offers a pleasant and peaceful surrounding. You can hear the wildlife moving around your feet. There are birds, squirrels, peacocks and even slithering snakes. There is 101 acres of land here for you to capture all of its beauty. Take a stroll on the boardwalk, which connects to the Anclote Gulf Park, or take a hike on the quarter-mile nature trail.Be sure to take a walk to the observation tower and absorb the breathtaking view.

    The park is open from 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year

  • Fees:
    Admission Fee:

    $8.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.

    $4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle.


  • Dogs are allowed in designated areas such as the pet beach on the southern tip of the island and on the nature trail. Pets must be on a 6 foot hand held leash at all times while in these areas.

Pay booth collects the daily parking fees of $5.

  • Open 7 days a week, 7 a.m. to dusk. County Parks are closed two days throughout the year, the day after Thanksgiving and Dec. 25. (exception is Fort De Soto Park which is open all year)
  • Fort De Soto has the only dog park where dogs are allowed on the beach in a designated area. There are also 2 fenced-in areas near the beach for large and small dogs with water stations (beach entrance is at the far southwest corner of dog park).
